Phormium ‘Black Magic’ has become a landscape favourite for its elegant, low growing, clumps of spiky, jet-black foliage, bordered with a very fine lime-green stripe. This outstanding colour and architectural form places ‘Black Magic’ in the top performers of the flax and grass-like category, providing year-round interest for shrub borders and containers. It is also well-suited to low maintenance and contemporary, or minimalist gardens. Plant in moist, fertile, well-drained soil, in sun or semi-shade. Wind, coastal and frost tolerant. Evergreen.

Outstanding new Phormium 'Indigo Pearl' sports a unique colour combination of grey-brown and dusky pink with a fine margin of burnt orange on each leaf. As 'Indigo Pearl' matures, the foliage gradually arches over, forming a graceful, tidy and compact, plant. This smaller growing NZ flax (Harakeke) is a great choice for courtyards, patios and containers where it will thrive in full sun to part shade. It is also useful in exposed garden areas where it will tolerate wind, coastal conditions and short periods of drought, once established. Regular watering and grooming to remove dead foliage will keep it looking its best. Evergreen.

Newly released Phormium 'Indigo Ruby' is a super cute, super slender, super coloured NZ Flax (Harakeke) that is set to become a landscaping favourite. Rich maroon foliage, highlighted with a fine dark pink margin, creates beautiful colour contrasts. Together with the finely textured foliage, the overall result is a lovely soft appearance. 'Little Ruby' forms a tidy, very compact clump of gently arching foliage, perfect for small spaces such as courtyards and patios, containers, and narrow strip gardens. It looks fantastic mass planted and is useful to use as rhythmic colour swatches throughout a garden border. 'Little Ruby' will thrive in full sun to part shade and is tolerant of exposed garden areas in windy and coastal sites. Phormium ‘Royal Flush’ is an outstanding selection, sporting highly polished, deep burgundy foliage. It forms an elegant, nicely formed clump of slightly arching foliage with good architectural form. Use ‘Royal Flush’ as textural and colour contrast in garden borders or containers. Repeat planting throughout the garden will create an appealing rhythmic effect of colour, texture and form. An ideal choice for exposed and coastal gardens and although tolerant of dry soils, the best performance comes from planting in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Evergreen.
