Indigo Ruby

PVR KFPHPM18

Phormium tenax

Newly released Phormium 'Indigo Ruby' is a super cute, super slender, super coloured NZ Flax (Harakeke) that is set to become a landscaping favourite. Rich maroon foliage, highlighted with a fine dark pink margin, creates beautiful colour contrasts. Together with the finely textured foliage, the overall result is a lovely soft appearance. 'Little Ruby' forms a tidy, very compact clump of gently arching foliage, perfect for small spaces such as courtyards and patios, containers, and narrow strip gardens. It looks fantastic mass planted and is useful to use as rhythmic colour swatches throughout a garden border. 'Little Ruby' will thrive in full sun to part shade and is tolerant of exposed garden areas in windy and coastal sites. It is also tolerant of short periods of drought, once established, however regular watering and grooming to remove dead foliage will keep it looking its best. Evergreen.
