Purple Pixie

LOROPETALUM

CHINENSE

Loropetalum chinense 'Purple Pixie' (Chinese Fringe Flower) forms a beautfully textural and highly coloured, cascading ground cover to small shrub. Rich purple foliage is enhanced by masses of shaggy, vibrant, cerise flowers throughout spring. A wonderful addition to garden beds and borders, especially on the edge of retaining walls, or in tall urns, where spreading branches can cascade over the edge.
Prefers full sun to part shade and well drained soil. Cold and humidity tolerant and benefits from watering during dry spells. Prune lightly and regularly to maintain the shape and promote new growth. Evergreen.
