Golden Dragon

WEIGELA

X HYBRIDA

An outstanding small shrub that punches well above its weight in the colour stakes. Early spring brings a flush of fresh golden-yellow foliage, soon followed by large clusters of highly contrasting magenta flowers. As flowers fade in early summer, foliage deepens to become rich gold by autumn, adding to the beautiful warm sunset hues of the season. 'Golden Dragon' prefers a sunny to partly shaded position in well drained soil with adequate summer moisture to maintain its good looks. Deciduous.
