LEUCADENDRON

SALIGNUM X LAUREOLUM

Sought after for its distinctive, lustrous blackish-purple foliage, Leucadendron ‘Ebony’ is a must-have for any garden facing the peril of dry summers. Being a sport of the highly regarded ‘Safari Sunset’, ‘Ebony’ performs magnificently, producing masses of strong stems, topped with burgundy-red bracts surrounding the cone-like flowers, from late winter to early summer. An excellent cut flower (and cut foliage) plant and perfect specimen for a dramatic garden bed or a striking container. Plant in a sunny spot with plenty of air circulation and well-draining soil. Once established 'Ebony' requires only infrequent watering, however until well established will need regular watering. Tolerant of wind and coastal conditions. Evergreen.
