Ecopanthus™ Pavlova

AGAPANTHUS

INAPERTUS X PRAECOX

Dwarf, easy care Agapanthus Ecopanthus™ 'Pavlova' is aptly named for the mass of absolutely stunning, frothy white, flower heads reminiscent of the favourite Antipodean Christmas dessert - pavlova. Nestled neatly on top of the foliage, the flower heads form rounded candelabras packed full of brilliant white blooms, from late spring through summer.
'Pavlova' belongs to an increasingly important group of 'low fertile' agapanthus - those bred specifically to remain sterile (or close to it). 'Low fertile' agapanthus allow gardeners and landscapers to enjoy the many benefits of these amazing plants, without the risk of spreading into the natural environment. Agapanthus provide the perfect solution to mass planting on exposed, dry banks and narrow garden areas adjacent to driveways. They are also extremely hardy to coastal conditions, can be considered fireproof, and their tall summer flower stems make a gorgeous cut flower. 'Pavlova' dies down over the winter months, emerging with lovely fresh foliage once again in early spring. Deciduous.
