Compact growing Tibouchina 'Blaze of Glory' provides year round interest and outstanding colour with its attractive, cream and green, variegated foliage. As late summer approaches, it bursts into a stunning mass of deep violet flowers, with beautifully contrasting white stamens, that continue to smother the shrub through autumn and into winter. 'Blaze of Glory' creates an eye-catching feature in garden borders and makes a lovely container specimen to adorn decks and patio areas. It is frost tender and requires friable, well drained soil, in either sun or part shade, and protection from harsh winds. Trim lightly after flowering in early spring and apply an organic fertiliser annually. Evergreen.
