Limey

Corokia x virgata

The fresh lime-green foliage of Corokia 'Limey' imparts a lovely warm glow on the landscape. Its compact form and strong upright stems, of slender oblong foliage, make it a great filler and textural contrast for garden borders, or interesting indoor plant in cold climates. Small yellow summer flowers turn into ornamental orange-red berries by autumn, calling the birds to visit for a feed. Corokia are quick to establish, thriving in any reasonable, well-drained, soil, preferably in an open, sunny position. They are tolerant of coastal conditions, wind and drought. Evergreen.
