Ecopanthus™ Sarah

AGAPANTHUS

X HYBRIDA

Dwarf, easy care Agapanthus Ecopanthus™ ‘Sarah’ was world’s first candelabra type agapanthus. ‘Sarah’ produces large, full, flower heads, in which each individual flower is held upright, producing a unique candelabra effect. Flowers are palest lilac-blue, with a noticeably darker central band. The crimped outer edges of the tepals add another layer of attraction and uniqueness to this very feminine plant.
'Sarah' belongs to an increasingly important group of 'low fertile' agapanthus - those bred specifically to remain sterile (or close to it). 'Low fertile' agapanthus allow gardeners and landscapers to enjoy the many benefits of these amazing plants, without the risk of spreading into the natural environment. Agapanthus provide the perfect solution to mass planting on exposed, dry banks and narrow garden areas adjacent to driveways. They are also extremely hardy to coastal conditions, can be considered fireproof, and their tall summer flower stems make a gorgeous cut flower. Evergreen.
