Pride of Provence (syn. Baby Bay)
LAURUS
As a naturally compact, rounded form of the stately Laurus nobilis (Bay Tree), Laurus ‘Pride of Provence’ lends itself to topiary work, either planted in the garden, or in large containers. Occasional clipping will enhance the rounded form, helping produce tight, compact, perfect ball shapes – ideal for formal settings, or sentinels either side of a garden entrance. Leathery, dark green, slightly shiny foliage not only looks extremely attractive year-round, but can be used as a herb (fresh or dried) to flavour many different dishes. Plant in free draining soil, in sun or semi-shade. Evergreen.
