Ligularia’s golden girl was named by James Crawford after his late wife Britt-Marie, who discovered this variety growing in a plot in Fife, Scotland. Luscious leaves emerge in dark chocolate-Maroon tones, eventually fading to green while retaining purple undersides and stems. These tones create a wonderful contrast with the midsummer blooms of brilliant yellow that poke their heads up high above the plush foliage.
